We are excited to welcome you to Social Membership, a fresh way to be part of St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club. Designed for friends, families, neighbours, supporters, and anyone in our local community who enjoys the spirit of cricket but does not necessarily play, this membership opens the door to relaxed, regular connection with the Club — including access to The Pavilion Café & Bar, our new community hub, now open at our ground.

What Social Membership Is

Social Membership is a non-playing membership that brings you into the heart of club life. It is for anyone who wants to enjoy match days, social events, community activities, and The Pavilion Café & Bar without committing to training or fixtures. Members will feel at home whether they drop in for coffee and cake or beer and a burger, stay for a game, meet friends after work, or join us for one of our community or social events.

You do not need to have played cricket before, and you do not need an existing connection to the Club. Social Membership is open to anyone who wants to enjoy The Pavilion Café & Bar, support local cricket, and be part of the St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club community.

Opening hours (from November) are:

• Café – Thursday & Friday, 8am to 4pm & Saturday, 12pm to 4pm.
• Bar – Saturday, 12pm to 8pm.

Why This Matters

The new pavilion officially opened in June 2026 after a long-running community project involving Club volunteers, Leeds Beckett University and Leeds College of Building students, and local supporters. It has already begun to serve as a wider community hub, with space for cricket, coffee mornings, youth activities, social events, and local drop-ins.

Social Membership is about more than benefits — it is about building a welcoming community hub where cricket fans, neighbours, and families come together. The Pavilion Café & Bar is a warm, inclusive space for conversation, celebration, and connection, and members can now make the most of it throughout the week.
