The 3rd XI travelled to Otley CC for their second away match of the month after facing top side Steeton CC at home the previous week. Batting first, it was a slow start for Chads. At 24/3, Josh Day (24 from 30) joined Angus Boyle (24 from 100) at the crease, and some impressive shots from Josh helped get some momentum going in the innings. Towards the back of the innings, Paul Taylor (17 from 21) and Liam Wilson (15 from 10, including a massive six) put on some valuable runs as Chads ended on 127/9 from their 40 overs against a very disciplined bowling attack.

With the ball, it was a challenge on a quick outfield. Liam Wilson got the breakthrough after a fantastic reaction catch at square leg from James Fletcher. Unfortunately that was all Chads could manage with the ball as Otley won by nine wickets, but it was exciting to see a couple of juniors playing senior cricket for Chads on what was a perfect afternoon for cricket in the sun at Otley.
