After three years of planning, building, refining, and sheer determination, St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club is proud to announce the soft launch of The Pavilion Café & Bar—a welcoming new space created for the whole community to enjoy.

On Thursday 20th August and Friday 21st August, the café will open its doors from 10am to 6pm, serving a full range of hot and cold food and drinks. Whether you’re looking for a morning coffee, a light lunch, or a relaxed afternoon treat, The Pavilion team will be ready to greet you with friendly service and a comfortable setting overlooking the Club’s beautiful grounds.

Each evening, from 6pm to 9pm, the bar will come to life. Alongside hot and cold food, visitors can enjoy a carefully selected range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beers, lagers, ciders, and wines. The bar proudly features Kirkstall Virtuous on draught, adding a local favourite to the offering and reinforcing the Club’s commitment to supporting Yorkshire producers.

This soft launch marks the culmination of a significant investment of time, energy, and passion by volunteers across the Club. The Pavilion Café & Bar has been designed not only as a hospitality space but as a community hub—a place where residents can meet, relax, and enjoy the surroundings regardless of whether cricket is being played.

From Saturday 22nd onwards, The Pavilion Café & Bar will also be open every Saturday from 12pm to 9pm, providing a calm, welcoming alternative for those who prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Otley Run. Families, walkers, cyclists, neighbours, and visitors from further afield are all warmly invited.

St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club has always been rooted in community spirit, and the opening of The Pavilion Café & Bar represents a major step forward in strengthening that connection. This is a space built for everyone—somewhere to enjoy good food, good company, and the shared pride of a Club that continues to grow and evolve.
