St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club is delighted to announce September Sixes, a special six-a-side inter-club competition taking place on Saturday 19th September from 12pm, alongside a major community celebration hosted by St Chad’s Church.

It promises to be a memorable day, bringing together fast-paced cricket, local pride and a warm welcome for players, supporters, families and neighbours.

A Festival of Cricket for All Ages

The September Sixes will feature teams drawn from across our senior, women’s and junior sections, with players of different ages and experience lining up side by side. It is a rare opportunity to see the whole club represented on the field, reflecting the spirit, inclusivity and togetherness that make St Chad’s Broomfield special.

Spectators can look forward to quick matches, big hits, plenty of laughs and the friendly competition that makes six-a-side cricket such a joy to watch.

Food, Drink & a Fantastic Atmosphere

The Pavilion Café & Bar will be open throughout the day from 12pm to 9pm, serving a full range of hot and cold food and drink. Whether you’re after a coffee, a cold pint or something tasty between matches, we’ll have you covered.

The BBQ will also be fired up, adding to the festival feel and ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Part of a Major Community Celebration

This year’s event is extra special. St Chad’s Church will be hosting a community celebration to mark four centuries since Leeds received its first Royal Charter, a milestone moment in the city’s history. With activities taking place across the area, September Sixes will form a lively part of a wider day of local pride and connection.

It is the perfect opportunity to bring together families, neighbours, club members, newcomers and old friends alike.
