The Club is looking to expand our team of scorers across both senior and junior cricket, and our leagues have also asked us to highlight the opportunities available for anyone interested in becoming an umpire.

The ECB offers free introductory courses in both scoring and umpiring, making it easy for newcomers to get involved.

The scoring course is an ideal first step for anyone keen to support one of our senior sides this season, as well as junior parents who’d like to score while watching their son or daughter play.

Scorers can earn up to £35 per senior match. Most scoring is now done digitally via laptop, tablet, or phone, so it’s quick to learn, especially for the kids (and plenty of adults too!). Anyone who prefers the traditional scorebook is very welcome to use that instead.

The umpiring course is perfect for senior players and junior parents who may be asked to assist during games. For those interested in taking it further, our weekend senior leagues are actively seeking additional umpires, who can earn up to £45 per match, with higher rates when officiating alone. Midweek senior leagues offer up to £25 per game.
