We are honoured to host a special charity cricket match on Saturday 31st January (12pm start), as we welcome The Broken XI CC from Lincolnshire.
This day is about cricket, community, and coming together to support mental health in memory of Ross Chambers, who played for us and whose brother plays for The Broken XI CC. All proceeds from the day will be donated to CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) in memory of Ross. The match is a chance to raise funds for a vital mental health charity while celebrating Ross’s life and the friendships he helped build.
The Broken XI CC was formed to create a safe, inclusive space for people who feel a little “broken” — whether physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise. Their ethos of acceptance and support makes them the perfect opponents for a fixture dedicated to mental health awareness and community solidarity.
There will be a raffle and opportunities to donate on the day. Everyone is welcome — players, families, friends, and supporters from across the community.
Hot and cold refreshments will be served all day in our new community cafe and bar, with a donation to CALM made from every item purchased.
