Over the past few months, we have been in discussion with the WCL regarding the possibility of us entering our 4th XI into the league. Initially we felt this would be a year too early but after attracting a record number of new senior players, retaining pretty much all our current senior players and having a good batch of juniors who are now ready for senior cricket, we decided to go ahead and enter the team for the forthcoming season.

There are currently only three other clubs in the whole of West Yorkshire with four Saturday league teams and it is fantastic to be able to join them. With many clubs currently struggling to turn out second teams it is a great achievement for us to be bucking the trend.

We were the first club to enter a 3rd XI into the WCL in the early 90's and we are now the first to enter a 4th XI. Any more and we will have one in each division!

With our other three league teams in the top three divisions of the WCL, this is going to be a season like no other for the club.
